What are custom headlights?
We create custom headlights by taking your original unmodified headlights, opening them, and adding in a selection of the following;
- Angel eyes
- Bi-LED projectors with LED bulbs/integrated bi-LED projectors/bi-xenon projectors with xenon setup
- Painting the headlight internal parts
- High beam LED units
- Custom one off parts
- Carbon fibre skinned parts
Custom headlights vs. prebuilt headlights
Custom headlights are what you want, without any compromise. You pick the specification, and any additional addons or custom parts. Everything is built once the order is placed, and headlights are built to order.
Prebuilt headlights are build based off our most popular options, and are usually available immediately or available at short notice. No custom/additional options are able to be added to the prebuilt headlights.
KYCS vs. BavGruppe Design angel eyes
KYCS - get the styling and look you want at a cost effective price. They are the best quality angel eyes available with lower price points. Lower brightness and less seamless light output when compared next to the BavGruppe Design products.
BavGruppe Design - high end products for high end vehicles with a relative price tag. The best and highest quality products you can get for custom headlights. Super bright with a totally seamless light output, and commonly used on show cars/high end cars.
The exchange process & how it works
If we have your headlights in stock, we can build your headlights using our headlights, and then exchange headlights with your original ones to ensure that your downtime is kept to a minimum.
Refundable deposit required if you're retaining the two sets of headlights while your fitting etc.
Exchange headlights must be in good working condition with no; rust, damage, missing parts, cracked casing, excessively aged/pitted/scratched/marked lenses. Additional charges apply if the above criteria is not met.
Specification changes/changing dates
If you'd like to make changes to your headlight specification, we'll do the best we can to accommodate this. If we can't, then we will cancel your existing order and ask you to place a new order reflecting the change in specification, along with a booking date.
If you need to change your booking/fitting date, we can do along as we have a minimum of 72 hours notice. If you're unable to give us the require notice, we reserve the right to charge a fee to rebook you in.
Returns & refunds
Due to the nature and speciality of these products & services, we do not accept returns, but will exchange any defective components as per our guarantee.
We do not offer a refund since each product & service is unique and bespoke to your specification and request. The cost of the product and service is a combination of our time spent along with our products/stock that have been modified irreversibly for your request.
Deposit & payment options
A non refundable deposit of 25% of your total balance is due on checkout. If you cancel your booking after 14 days or miss your pre-booked appointment without any prior notice, there is a 25% cancellation fee which covers an amount of time spent on your job, along with a portion of the costs of the products/stock ordered and/or irreversibly modified to suit your specification. The remainder of the payment (if applicable) will be refunded within 3-5 business days.
Guarantee & warranty
1 year guarantee on all our workmanship & KYCS and BavGruppe Design products. Not valid if the headlights, products/workmanship have signs of tampering, mishandling, mis-powering, reverse-engineering, disassembly, installation error (if not fitted by us), or if the vehicle is involved in an accident. Our guarantee may not include or cover any labour charges for fitting depending on the issue.
If there are any issues, once they've been verified by us the remedial work must be carried out within 1 calendar month to retain your guarantee. Minor fogging/misting within the headlights is not covered under the guarantee as we reference OEM workshop material & guidelines which states fogging/misting as permissible.
Any cosmetic issues must be raised within 72 hours of receival of the custom headlights. After this time window, any cosmetic issues are not covered by our guarantee.
Our custom headlight conversions are all road legal and will pass the MOT.
If you have additionally selected components of the conversion that are for show use only (demon eyes or colour changing/chasing angel eyes for example), they are not for use on the public highway.
You can only display white for DRL, parking lights, side lights, low beam and high beam to the front of the vehicle.
You can only display amber/orange to the front of the vehicle for indicators/hazard lights.
All other colours are illegal on the public highway, and for show use only.
Terms & conditions
Certain design configurations may not be possible on your headlights. If this is the case, we will inform you and offer an alternative design.
When fitting is opted for, bumper fitment will be as the vehicle arrived (at a minimum) as long as all the bolts, screws, clips and clamps (fixings) are present and correct when the vehicles arrives. If you are missing or have any damaged fixings, the same fitment cannot be guaranteed. Once a vehicle has left our premises, we cannot guarantee the bumper fitment or alignment - any issues must be raised on vehicle handover. Excess fitting/parts charges may be applicable for non factory fit vehicles, specifically on vehicles that have either; been involved in an accident, have had a previous poor bumper fit, have incorrect fixings present or incorrectly/poor fitting of aftermarket parts. We can additionally supply and fit brand new OEM fixings if in stock, or if advised beforehand. Work undertaken & vehicles left on premises at the owners risk. Wheels must be rechecked and retorqued 50 miles after fitting (as they are removed during the fit). Locking wheel nuts must be supplied on the day for the fitting to be carried out. Any snapped wheel bolts due to bolts being previously over-tightened is on the onus of the owner to repair/remove/refit. Your fitting date may be moved due to the following reason(s): Act of God, weather, staff resource issues. If we are unable to fulfil your booking date, you will be given at least 1 weeks notice and rebooked for our first opportunity. We may discount or supply a free upgrade for your headlight specification in return for moving your booking at short notice. We are not liable or responsible for any fees. charges or losses you may experience if your fitting date is moved.
We own all media taken by team members of the vehicle in for the service(s) completed.
