Popular Custom Headlight Additional Options

Now that you've decided you want custom headlights, we'll explain at a high level what type of options and upgrades we do. 

This won't be super in depth to keep things clear and concise as possible. For more information, get in contact with us and we'll be happy to get into more detail.

Angel Eyes

Shape

We offer the following angel eyes styles & shapes. Some are limited to a specific headlight type or variant; 

• Circle (Flat Top) - Full circle angel eyes with a cut section at the top, usually used within E36, E38, E39, E46, E53 and other vehicles from that era

• Full Circle - Full circle angel eyes

• DTM (also known as 'Flat Bottom' or Fxx) - these are similar to the newer generation BMW's where they have curved sides like the full circle, but a flattened out bottom section to make it look modern

• 3/4 DTM (also known as '3/4 Flat Bottom or Gxx) - these are the same as DTM, apart from having the inner section of the angel eyes (closest to the kidney grills) shorter to give it a more aggressive look

• Vision (also known as hex) - angular angel eyes similar to the newest BMW headlights

Brand

We generally use 2 brands of angel eyes within our custom headlight conversions - our in house (KYCS), and BavGruppe Designs. 

Our in house range is sourced from the far East, and we've been using the same manufacturer since 2012. These are the best quality angel eyes available within the location/sector and are extremely cost-effective. They are lower brightness and less seamless light output than the BavGruppe Design products.

The BavGruppe Design products are the highest quality products you can get for custom headlights. They're super bright and have a totally seamless light output due to CAD designed injection moulded covers twinned with gel coated SMD boards. This combination give an unparalleled seamless light output which outshines both OEM and other aftermarket solutions for angel eyes. You can see more of their work on Instagram or website.

Colour

Eyebrows

Carbon Fibre

These are BavGruppe Design eyebrows which are CF only

BavGruppe Design - Carbon Fibre Eyebrow With LED Strip

These are BavGruppe Design CF eyebrows with a BavGruppe Design LED eyebrow strip

BavGruppe Design - LED Strip Within OEM Opening

Only suitable for headlights which either have an OEM eyebrow, or an opening for an OEM eyebrow and not equipped from factory. LED eyebrow strips are from BavGruppe Design 

BavGruppe Design - Carbon Fibre Eyebrow With Optic & LED Strip

Full complete units from BavGruppe Design that are full CF eyebrows, custom manufactured injection moulded optic with diffuser, and LED eyebrow strip. Only available as a complete unit

Demon Eyes

This is backlighting applied to your projectors or dummy projectors. They're for show use only, and can only be used when the low/high beam is off. They're completely separate/independent from any other light within the headlight.

Single colours are controlled by a physical remote control fob, and colour changing are controlled by a smartphone app. 

By default we fit demon eyes to your low/high beam projector as a single unit per headlight (two per pair of headlight). For more aggressive builds, we can fit a quad set of demon eyes along with any other hardware required to support this, where you'll have two demon eyes (inner and outer) per headlight with a total of 4 for the car.

Half X

Accent lighting supplied by BavGruppe Design. These are only compatible with BavGruppe Design angel eyes (DTM, 3/4 DTM, and Vision).

These are only suitable for projector based headlights, and are a newer sleeker version of the demon eyes.

Full X

Accent lighting supplied by BavGruppe Design. These are only compatible with BavGruppe Design angel eyes.

These are only suitable for LED reflector based headlights only due to the mounting and design of them, and are a newer sleeker version of the demon eyes for these variants of headlights. 

They are not suitable for halogen, xenon, adaptive xenon or other projector based headlights.

LCI Corner Beauty Pieces

These are specific only for the E9x M3, and pre LCI E92/E93.

They replace the OEM indicator cover, and mirror the same style as the E90 LCI halogen indicator headlights.

Etched Lenses

This is applying designs to the projector lens which are illuminated by a demon eye. 

We have a number of library designs, and are able to do custom designs on request.
