What's included

Everything below is included in the labour price for your headlight lens replacement, carried out on your own headlight.

Old lens removed

The damaged lens is taken off without damaging your headlight casing.

New lens fitted

Your new lens is fitted. Add it on your model's page, or supply your own.

New seals

Fresh seals for a lasting, watertight fit.

Light internal clean

A light chemical clean inside to remove minor marks.

Final quality check

A functional check (where available), then checked over by our technicians before it goes back to you.

Pressure and water tested

Every headlight is pressure and water tested before it leaves us.

Not included: the headlight itself, bulbs, control units, LED drivers, caps, removal and refitting, and postage.

Get it to us

DHL collects it if you added collection. Otherwise drop it off in Oldbury or send it with your own courier, with us by 10am on your booking day.

Checked and repaired

We check your headlight first. If we find extra damage, we tell you and get your OK before doing anything more.

Back to you

Pay the balance once it's done, then collect it or it comes back by DHL Express, covered by a 2 year warranty.

3 day turnaround

When your headlight is booked in advance, matches what was booked, is complete and is completely dry inside. If it needs drying out, or more work is found, that time is added. It must be with us by 10am on your booking day.

Shipping with DHL Express

  • UK mainland including Northern Ireland. The Highlands, islands, remote areas and international need a separate quote.
  • We send you a DHL label, which must be printed. DHL don't accept digital labels.
  • Pack the headlight securely yourself. DHL don't supply packaging or cover damage from poor packing.
  • DHL shipping is priced per headlight, per box. Boxes over 55 x 45 x 40cm need a custom quote, so tell us the size.
  • We can book your DHL collection from the next working day, up to 6 days in advance.
  • Transit insurance up to £800 can be added for £15 + VAT per leg.

Headlight lens replacement

A new lens, not a new headlight.

A new headlight from the dealer often runs into the thousands, particularly xenon, adaptive LED and laser units. We replace just the damaged outer lens (also called the headlight glass, cover or headlamp lens) with a brand new one, so you get a clear, like-new headlight for far less.

Headlight lens replacement FAQs

How much does headlight lens replacement cost?

Prices are per headlight, labour only, from £120 + VAT. Each model's price is on its page. Add the new lens at its own price. Removal and refitting, and DHL collection and return, are extra and only if you need them.

Is the price per headlight or for a pair?

Per headlight. Choose left, right or both when you book; both is twice the price.

Do I need to supply the lens?

No. Each model's page lists our lenses for it, or you can supply your own. Lens not listed? WhatsApp us and we can special order it, if available.

Can you replace the lens on my car?

If your model is listed on this page, yes. Not listed? Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we'll tell you if we can do it and whether a lens is available.

Can my cracked lens be fixed or repaired?

No. A cracked, chipped or crazed lens can't be repaired. It's replaced with a new lens, fitted to your original headlight, which is what this service does.

Can the old lens be polished instead?

No. We don't offer polishing, and it isn't the same as a lens replacement. The damaged lens comes off and a new one goes on.

Where are your lenses from?

Our lenses are aftermarket, the highest quality available in the aftermarket sector, with fitment and dimensions as close to the original as possible. The majority come from a supplier and manufacturer we have worked with for over a decade, who supply CE marked lenses. If you need a CE marked lens, contact us before you order to make sure our stock for your lens is CE marked.

Will my car pass the MOT after a lens replacement?

Yes. If it failed on a cracked lens, or on beam pattern because the lens is hazy, a new lens from us fixes it and it will pass.

How long does it take?

3 days, when your headlight is booked in advance, matches what was booked, is complete and is completely dry inside. If it needs drying out, or more work is found, that time is added. It must be with us by 10am on your booking day.

Is misting normal after the repair?

Yes, for the first few weeks. Light misting at the edges in cold or damp weather, which clears as the lights warm up, is the air inside settling. Water droplets, heavy fogging that doesn't clear or pooling water are not normal: contact us straight away.

Can you remove and refit my headlight?

Yes, we can. We fit Monday to Saturday. Contact us for our availability.

How do I get my headlight to you?

Drop it off at our Oldbury unit, send it with your own courier, or add DHL Express collection and return on your model's page (UK mainland including Northern Ireland, excluding the Highlands, islands and remote areas).

How does payment work?

Prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout for UK orders. A 25% non-refundable deposit is taken at checkout to book your slot, and the balance is due once the work is complete.

I'm outside the UK. What do I pay?

You pay the listed price without UK VAT. Import duties and taxes are charged by your country's customs and are paid by the receiver. A delivery refused because of unpaid customs charges is not refunded.

What if my headlight can't be repaired?

We check your headlight can be repaired before we start. If we suspect a large amount of damage, we'll ask you to send the headlight in first, without a deposit, and carry out an assessment free of charge, so you know what can be done before you book.

Will it look exactly like factory?

Every headlight is worked on and sealed by hand by our technicians, to as close to OEM standard as possible. As it's hand work, there may be very minor imperfections within our tolerances.
